Hello to all of you who are reading this! I'm not normally a big "blogger," but it was getting tedious telling everyone individually what I'm doing over here, so I figured it might be easier for everyone to read about it in one place. I'll try to keep these posts short and sweet, just the good stuff :)
So far, everything here in London is going absolutely wonderfully! I've only been here a short five days, but I already feel right at home in the city. I'm living in Bloomsbury, which is pretty central and a very nice neighborhood. The British Museum is just a block away, and my street is bordered on both sides by little square gardens. Beautiful! The building where I'll take my classes is just down the street, about ten minutes from my flat. My flat is small, but cozy, and I'm trying to live by the motto of "live simply" (our Akita theme this year) and make do with what I have. My room has a giant window looking out on the street, which lets in wonderful sunlight and makes me very happy.
The past few days have been filled with tours of the city, walks around the neighborhood with groups and on my own, yoga classes and runs through Regent's Park, eating at all kinds of different restaurants, and generally being thrilled to be in such an incredible place. Classes began today, and I can already tell this is going to be a great semester.
That's all I have for now. I'll try to post every couple of days or so, but no promises - I have an awful lot of world to see...

"Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end,
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me."
